We had to buy this fridge when our old one died. This was the only one available that was the right size to fit in the kitchen. It keeps things cold and frozen. But it has an annoying loud rattle that comes from the back wall of the freezer. Since it runs the majority of the time we hear that rattle a lot. I can push on the back wall and the rattle stops until I release the pressure. We are looking for a new fridge that is quieter like our original 35 year old fridge

I have had this refrigerator for a little over a year. My thermostat has already gone out in the freezer. And now it seems to have gone out in both the refrigerator and freezer and I am just at just after the one year mark so of course there is no more warranty. Very annoying when you spend so much money on something and already having so many problems. Now I have to figure out how to come up with money to pay for a new repair. Will never buy GE again.

This fridge is pretty no frills, it doesn't have a meat/cheese drawer, but it's got loads of space and works as it should. It fits where I need it to. There was some freezer dripping issues, but that quickly resolved, and I never really knew why, but it was within the first couple weeks.

Purchase last November, it's August 2020 and it doesn't want to keep the freezer Frozen or the fridge cold enough. Working on calling them on Monday the 10th and find out what I do seeing as there's a 3 year limited warranty and I haven't even had it one year. Let you know what they say

I needed this fridge to got a specific space in my kitchen. I like the large shelves and side storage. I don't like that there is constantly condensation on the glass shelves. The hinged cover on the side if the fridge broke within a month and it's $55 for a replacement part! Also, the door doesn't close on its own. You have to push it.

Basic Refrigerator with 1 Big Flaw

This is a basic freezer over refrigerator model. It has a large capacity freezer as well as refrigerator. Its relatively quiet and functional with one major flaw. The clear lid to the butter compartment at top of door does not close with gravity and will not clear the top of the refrigerator if open and the refrigerator door closes. I found this out the hard way when I forgot the close it and it instantly cracked in half. I had only owned the refrigerator for 4 month. This is a design flaw that tarnishes what is otherwise could be a good refrigerator. I can't recommend this to any buyer.

This thing is garbage. And good luck getting GE to service it. I waited nearly a week to get a tech out and he spent 10 minutes looking at it before he said it needed a new control board. It™€™s been a week since then and have yet to hear back. All around easily the worst experience I™€™ve have with an appliance.

The refrigerator and freezer are very loud. It is actually louder than my old 20 year old refrigerator. Some of my beverages placed near the back were nearly frozen even though the temperature setting was in the middle.
