I didn™€™t purchase this myself it™€™s the apartment complex who did but it seems to be poorly built and it doesn™€™t have the button sets like other dishwashers to know which setting you have selected to do. It™€™s made with plastic and it™€™s not the sturdiest.

It does clean the dishes pretty well. I do rinse first and use Finish tabs. It does smell terrible however! I guess it's the plastic inside. I thought after a few washes it would go away. No, it's still smells like chemicals and plastic after about 2 months.

We bought and moved into this house three months ago. The dishwasher was installed by the previous owner who flipped the house. I hate this dishwasher. The silverware basket is too short, for one thing. I would have made it about an inch taller to better hold silverware. One touch design seems like a good thing to make life simpler, but the ability to choose cycles and how to dry your dishes should not be left to programming that is basically a guess on if you held the button correctly. Also, we've had to call for service twice in 3 months because of the same problem. It doesn't want to go through cycles. It stops after 5 minutes and gives what I think is a problem code of two flashes, but the first time the tech came out, it decided to work for him. A week and a half later, I'm scheduling service again, but we have to wait a week and a half for a technician, because no one apparently uses appliances over the July 4th holiday.

It has only one button but that's all it needs. Everything comes out super clean, sparkling and dry every time! Run/dry time is less than 2 hours. The unit runs fairly quietly and has a sleek appearance. Some build materials seem a little lightweight but I'm hoping it will be as durable as other Hotpoint appliances I own.
