Professional delivery and installation is available for every product we sell. We would be happy to coordinate delivery and installation for you.

Extended warranties are usually very inexpensive and can save you thousands in the future. Some can even cover extra costs that result, such as cost of food that spoils when your fridge dies. It's simple and inexpensive to purchase extended warranties and one of the smartest ways to protect your investment.

Appliances can be large, heavy and expensive. You probably don't have the special tools or expertise needed to fix them in a crisis. If you can spare a few thousand dollars without batting an eyelash for new appliances should they break tomorrow, don't buy a warranty. But if you're like most of us, protect yourself by purchasing inexpensive extended warranties when you buy a new product and save yourself big money in the long run.

Great upgrade to fridge. Design is wonderful

Mcdc 9/17/2026

I have been loving my new fridge. The extra doirs for specific foods keeps me from opening the whole fridge to get a small item. Love the lighting too. I can see everything right away. The additional compressor keeps food chilled well. Everything is easy to get too, love the shelving with one that i can push back for taller items. Food stays fresh longer.

Never buying a Kitchenaid fridge again!

Tassia 8/26/2026

We were initially so excited to get this fridge. We loved the layout and look of it. However, it has been nothing but problems since getting it. In the 3 years we have had this: 1.The tray under the water dispenser broke and had to be replaced. 2. The door seal ripped and had to be replaced. 3. The freezer frequently jumps to 30+ degrees for no reason. We have had a tech come out several times and he was never able to fix the problem. We lost a whole freezer worth of food. 4. The water dispenser leaks and spills water every time we open the left fridge door. 5. The ice maker almost NEVER works. We have to unplug and plug it back in to get it to fill up once, then it stops working again. The tech also was unable to figure this one out, even after replacing and checking several parts. Overall this fridge has been a nightmare, and the biggest appliance regret we have ever had (this is our 4th fridge purchase).

Nice concept, terrible mechanical reliability

Scooterapd 8/20/2026

This is a horribly engineered appliance. We are now on our third repair for the same issue. The coils behind the veggie drawer and multipurpose drawer freeze up due to mechanical failure with those fans. When this happens, air cannot flow into the fridge and the temperature rises to over 60 degrees, spoiling everything inside. Despite getting all new fans a year or so ago, the same problem has surfaced again. The appliance repair states that this model is horribly defective due to its overly complicated airflow system. We purchased our 5 year warranty through Kitchenaid and they keep repairing it. But meanwhile, we have to go weeks without a refrigerator because it takes such a long time to get the repair appointment and then for the parts - up to a month, essentially. We are sick of it. For the cost of all the repairs, Kitchenaid could have just sent a whole new refrigerator.

Beautiful refrigerator, terrible reliability

SkyRyde 8/19/2026

Model: KitchenAid KRMF706ESS Purchased: July 2021 We purchased this beautiful KitchenAid 5-door refrigerator in July 2021. My wife and I took a chance on it despite reading both the good and bad reviews. We wanted it to match the rest of our KitchenAid appliances, and we had always held KitchenAid to a high standard. For nearly $4,000, we expected a premium appliance that would last 10+ years without major problems. Unfortunately, we could not have been more wrong. After only about 11/2™€“2 years, the problems started. The refrigerator would begin making a ticking sound, stop cooling properly, and the interior lights would go out. Sometimes resetting the refrigerator would bring it back to life, but only temporarily. What has been especially frustrating is how temperamental this refrigerator is with the temperature inside our home. When our house gets below approximately 64°F in the winter, the refrigerator can stop functioning properly. During the summer, when our house gets above approximately 80°F, we've experienced the same thing. A refrigerator should not require us to keep our home within such a narrow temperature range just to operate. We have basically spent the last several years wondering whether this refrigerator is actually going to work when we need it. We did have a service technician come out once. During that visit, the technician found that the control-panel area underneath the water/ice dispenser had accumulated water. According to the technician, this appeared to be a design flaw. Having water get into an area containing electronic controls is obviously extremely concerning, and it added another issue to an already frustrating ownership experience. At this point, we are five years into ownership, and I've lost count of how many times we've had to reset this refrigerator just to get it functioning again. I've also spent countless hours dealing with KitchenAid customer service through chats and phone calls, with little to no meaningful resolution. I've spent more than two hours on the phone with customer service only to end up right back where I started. The most disappointing part isn't simply that a refrigerator can fail. Appliances can have problems. What has really changed my opinion of KitchenAid is that a nearly $4,000 premium refrigerator has been this unreliable for most of its life, and getting meaningful help from the manufacturer has been incredibly difficult. I bought KitchenAid because I believed the brand represented quality, durability, and reliability. Instead, this has been one of the most frustrating appliance purchases we've ever made. If you are considering buying the KRMF706ESS, please read the negative reviews carefully. Don't assume that spending nearly $4,000 means you're getting a dependable, premium appliance. In our experience, this refrigerator has been anything but dependable. KitchenAid has lost a customer in me. I will not purchase another KitchenAid refrigerator, and I will think twice before purchasing another KitchenAid appliance. If KitchenAid actually reads this review and wants to make things right, I am willing to speak with a representative. But I need someone who is prepared to actually investigate the problems with this model and provide a solution, not another two-hour customer-service conversation that goes nowhere. Five years of frustration is enough. I wish I had listened more carefully to the negative reviews before buying this refrigerator.

Looks nice, breaks all the time.

JoeFL 8/10/2026

It is a nice looking refrigerator. However; it is constantly breaking down. Right now the freezer is no longer freezing anything and the temperature is rising. I'm going to lose half of what's in there. There is ice buildup in the back of the freezer so I have it set to a manual defrost. The water is turned off to it because of all the leaks and I bought a countertop icemaker. Hopefully it will start working again.

Freezer Drawer Needs Replacing

Emily2 7/23/2026

Within a few days of installing the fridge, we noticed the freezer drawer had water/condensation on the top lip (see attached photo). We have to wipe away the water each morning and make sure the drawer is fully pushed closed with the drawers in their far back position. Otherwise, the entire freezer develops icicles throughout (see attached photos). The inspector can't see any breaks in the seal, but he said we need to replace the entire freezer drawer to resolve the issue. We have ordered a new freezer drawer, but it is backordered, and no one knows when it will be available.

Soft or Self closing doors

Goz2fast 7/22/2026

So I received my 5 door fridge last friday. I noticed the doors did not shut on their own when pushed toward the fridge, the drawers self close, but the big doors required manually shutting. So a tech did come out and made sure the hinges were tight and the fridge was leveled, but the doors DO NOT shut unless I shut them. Interestingly online there are parts for this fridge called "closing cams" (part W11188796 and W1163783) designed to close the door and instructions on how to reset the door hinge and youtube videos on how to reset the hinge to have it self/soft close doors. I texted the tech these part numbers asking if perhaps mine were not working or if my doors needed a cam "reset" shown on youtube videos to get them to work properly and he texted me back advising the fridge is working as designed. I also recall other fridges in the store that actually closed when you started to shut them without having to physically insure they are shut all the way. Aside from this annoyance, trying to figure out if it is supposed to self close or not, I like the rest of the fridge so far...if it is NOT self closing, that should be reflected and the parts offered to do the self closing should be renamed.

Poor Reliability

jenebo 7/13/2026

We have had this fridge in operation for just under 6 years. We have had a technician out 6 times to fix various things from lights to ice maker. Today, outside of warranty, we were told there is some refrigerant leaks and no telling where it is. Gamble to put parts into it and not know for sure it will fix. From the beginning the storage arrangement was poor, and the ice maker performance has met the same low expectations of the fridge itself and its reliability. Its sad how this is acceptable quality from such a large company. Do not buy this fridge. You will regret it.

Freezer issues

Khaperry 7/11/2026

We have had this refrigerator for about 5 years. We bought the whole set after a kitchen remodel and at first it was great. Love the space and the drawers are great, however the last year has been very disappointing. We have had to de-thaw the freezer every 6 weeks or so, due to the coils freezing over. When this happens, this ice maker also stops working. It requires taking the whole freezer apart, all of the drawers out the back cover off and using a hairdryer or heating gun to melt all of the ice of the coils, all while making sure to keep the melting water off the floor. It™€™s about a 2 hour process and of course the warranty has expired. This is very frustrating and disappointing considering the reputation and cost of Kitchen-Aid appliances. Also, as mentioned in other post, there a small spots of rust on both refrigerator and dishwasher.

Did not meet expectations.

DHcustomer 7/9/2026

We owned this french-door bottom freezer from Kitchen Aid for 3 years and 9 months. Then the freezer and refrigerator sections both were warmer than the settings. The official service person came in and said it would cost almost the price of a new fridge to fix it. KitchenAid refrigerators are supposed to be better than this. This is not an acceptable lifetime for a major appliance.

KITCHENAID REFRIGERATOR SPECIFIC MODEL ISSUES

KRMF706ESS 7/8/2026

Dear KitchenAid Customer Relations, I am requesting a goodwill review of my KitchenAid refrigerator, Model KRMF706ESS. I purchased this refrigerator in May 2023. Approximately two weeks after installation, the freezer failed completely, and the refrigerator was replaced with another new unit of the exact same model. Unfortunately, the replacement refrigerator has continued to experience numerous problems over the past three years. While I understand the original warranty has expired, the pattern of issues began almost immediately after purchase and has continued with the replacement unit. everything from back wall freezing up, leaking in door area where icemaker is connected, seals not properly doing their job, but the worst of all a major issue is that my refrigerator's internal temperature after struggling with foods, dairy products, meats, etc.., spoiling so I have routinely started keeping milk meat dairy items in my older refrigerator in our outside garage that alone is unacceptable to anyone that spends hard earned money for a product that prides themselves on being one of the best and stands behind their product. I was advised to purchase 2 good thermometer for both refrigerator and freezer section and found low 50's to mid 60 degrees was the coolest it would get in not just 12 hours but 2 to 3 full days in refrigerator, freezer temp was as it should be. I contacted Customer Care today requesting that my case be reviewed. I was advised only to schedule a service technician at my own expense, & that there was no supervisors that I could speak with period. That is not how business should be handled in any manor period. I've spent my life in the Medical field, proudly so, but always knew the importance of listening to the patients and their concerns. As should all business do for their customers including Whirlpool. This noted, I do have all documentation of everything including pictures, proof of purchase receipt, as well as registering both refrigerators #1st one, as well as the #2nd one replaced two weeks later due to factory malfunction with original. I am respectfully asking KitchenAid to review the history of this appliance and determine whether any goodwill assistance can be offered. I have maintained this refrigerator carefully and expected a premium KitchenAid appliance to provide reliable service for much longer than three years. I also need to add that I would greatly appreciate having this matter reviewed by someone authorized to evaluate goodwill assistance rather than not looking at the actual problem. Thank you for your time and consideration. Sincerely, Beverly-Lynn Smith

TCott 6/26/2026

Horrible, freezer part does not remain cold enough for ice cream and ice maker issues so no ice. Happened within the first year and they sent service out multiple times and it is doing the same thing again and now no warranty as of this past February. I got a lemon and spent almost $3k and have to either keep paying for repairs for same issues or just buy another fridge. Did not even last 2 years. Save your money!

Irreparable at 6 years

Sun1 6/19/2026

After 6 years this product is irreparable due to a coolant leak in the frame. It wasn™€™t heavily used as there are only two of us using it. My compensation, after $120 service charge, is a whopping 25% off my next purchase and online only. I love this fridge but 25% off a nearly $3000 purchase doesn™€™t make me very excited to buy again.

Nothing but issues

cwood2740 6/5/2026

Everything that could go wrong with this fridge did. Interior completely cracked, everything is just duct taped together. Freezer drawers wouldn't close and constantly got stuck. And most importantly, it doesn't actually work. After a year ice build up got really bad. It would make ice, but wasn't cold enough to keep it frozen so water would just leak all over the place. It would turn off randomly and require us to turn the breaker off just to get it working again. We've had countless repair calls and nothing has addressed the issues. And now after 5 years, the freon leaked and our fridge and freezer are warm as can be. The estimate to fix it is very high and not worth it given all of the other issues. This fridge looks nice, but that's about it.

Awful Quality

Paul N 6/1/2026

I really wanted to like this refrigerator, but the quality is just not good. It's only 5 years old and I've had it repaired 3 times already and now, less than 2 months after the last repair, the issue still exists. The back of the freezer frosts over and the ice maker stops working. How many times can you replace the Evap motor / sensor and heater coil before you call this a lemon? I am done with Kitchenaid / Whirlpool, the dishwasher that I bought with the refrigerator has also needed to be repaired.

A waste of hard earned money

Shay67 5/31/2026

This refrigerator was bought around 2019 paid $5200 cash money. Just for the refrigerator. We purchased the microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator and beverage center. Within a year we had a service call setup because it was no longer cooling. They replaced the refrigerator. Now 2026, we have had a few more service calls and now the refrigerator is as warm as it is outside. The first time was compressor this time both the front and back motherboards are bad per the technician. I will NOT- I repeat will NOT ever purchase Kitchenaid again. Don™€™t want to get into the dishwasher!! From all the other reviews, I™€™m afraid to call headquarters, so here I am.

DO NOT BUY

RyanP8220 5/30/2026

This refrigerator has been a horrible disappointment. For the price point I expected much higher quality components. The freezer drawer plastic and design are horrific. It is a constant pain point and the drawers are always getting jammed. This leads to an open crack in the freezer if we aren™€™t careful. Even with the freezer completely closed, it struggles to get below 5 degrees. My $150 deep freezer does a better job. The ice maker is almost useless. We haver had to supplement with a countertop ice maker for 1-2 years now even with only 3 people living in the house. A tech did come out to check on the sealing of it - and although it appears to be sealed it continues to leak.

I was told it would cost 2 grand to fix so not worth it. I won't buy this brand again; a fridge of this cost should last more than 9 years. It's too bad it's a nice-looking fridge.

stopped working after only 3 years

Disappointed mom and wife 5/1/2026

Horrible!!! We purchased this refrigerator in July 2023 and it stopped working all the sudden. Refrigerator, freezer, and stopped making ice. We called Kitchen-Aid is not taking any accountability for it, declined to assist. my food is spoiled and I have two little kids, 3 year old and 10 month old that need fresh and healthy food. Horrible Horrible Horrible, no customer assistance, no customer concern, no accountability, just offered to send a private repair person for $195.00 just for them to come out, and once they diagnose it they will be able to tell us how much labor and part are. Ohh, and offered 20% discount if we want to purchase a new product. Why would I purchase another Kitchen Aid. Refrigerators are meant to last 13+ years. This one didn't even last 3 years. Horrible product and horrible customer service.

Unreliable - Expensive Repairs

unhappyWithThis 4/1/2026

We got this model in 2020 (very pricy then), and in 2022 we had to have it repaired at 1200 dollars. We also ordered some parts ourselves and repaired with computer board in the left drawer. Now it is 2026 and the compressor is bad. So instead of buying or repairing this lemon again, we are purchasing an entirely different brand.

So good I bought it a second time

22Wonderful 4/1/2026

After moving, I missed this fridge. Finally, I bought the same model. I loved it that much. I swear, the angels sing when you open the doors. Best fridge I've ever had. The only odd thing is that we didn't get dividers for the two pull out drawers. In the last model I had them. Not sure why they'd be omitted this time.

Poor product

Jdzj 3/28/2026

We bought this refrigerator two years ago. Within the first year, the refrigerator section began freezing food. We had a lot of food waste because of the issue. Spent over a month trying to get in touch with customer service to have it serviced since it was still under warranty. We™€™ve had three service men come out to fix the issue. First guy out twice to fix two different parts. He had to call Kitchenade himself because he couldn™€™t figure out the issue. Thought the first time fixed the issue. Third guy quoted us $1200 to fix, part plus labor. Ordered the $300 control panel and put in ourselves. The issue remains. DO NOT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY on this junk appliance.

Great refrigerator

Cheod 3/23/2026

I purchased this refrigerator after refrigerator from another brand failed after about 3 years. The slow close drawers were a bonus and after a month we could not be more pleased with this purchase.

Really Great features!

BCBJB 3/14/2026

We bought this Very Nice KitchenAid refrigerator and have had it a week. I think it is a really great quality appliance! It™€™s a lot better quality than most other brands we looked at before we bought this KitchenAid. The handles are very solid and heavy. I really like how the drawers slide so nicely! I like the produce and meat drawer that you can change the temperature for what you put in it. It™€™s a very nice looking refrigerator! It keeps the temperature for the fridge and freezer just right. The ice maker works well and holds a lot of ice and hasn™€™t run out of ice for us. I hope this fridge will last us for a very long time like our 28 year old Kitchenaid fridge which still is running well in our garage that we use as our second fridge now.

Great Features, lots of space

Rclazo91 3/12/2026

I bought this refrigerator about a month ago, I couldn™€™t be happier. I love the separate drawers, it keeps me from working from the fridge with the door constantly open and the soft close is a bonus.

Don't Buy It!!!

Doing without refrigerato 3/6/2026

If i could rate a negative, I would! I'd always heard Kitchenaid products were the top of the line. Mine isn't. If you want a refrigerator that goes out several times a day and night, the parts to repair it are on factory back order, then this is your refrigerator! All Kitchenaid did is sell me an extended warranty for a refrigerator they don't have parts for.

Lemon x2!!

Annoyedagain 2/27/2026

Do not be fooled by the sleek exterior or the "premium" branding. This fridge is nothing more than a glorified, stainless steel decorative cabinet that hates my family. We™€™ve spent YEARS trapped in a brutal cycle of failure: repair people in and out of our kitchen, band aid fixes, parts, and weeks at a time living out of a literal cooler like we™€™re on a camping trip from hell. KitchenAid eventually admitted defeat and replaced the first unit. We thought the nightmare was over. We were wrong. One year into the replacement, and this one has died too. This appliance cost more than my first car, yet it currently serves no purpose other than taking up floor space. We are now a week into the "No Fridge" lifestyle again as we wait for a part (with zero follow up or heads up after a week when we will have it). I am done. I don't want a "diagnosis," I don't want to wait for a part, and I certainly don't want another KitchenAid. I want my money back so I can buy a brand that actually stays cold and doesn't treat my family like a science experiment.

Fridge is Trash

Dave1745 2/23/2026

The fridge is trash. They do not stand by their product at all. Our fridge is not even three years old. The condenser and condenser coils freeze up in a block of ice within two weeks. It has caused significant damage to our kitchen floor. We have had to throw out food because it wont keep things in the freezer frozen and will stop cooling the fridge. Avoid this fridge and KitchenAid refrigerators at all costs.
